I Had A Dream Last Night................

I had a dream last night......You were standing there looking smooth and fineYou had a gleam in your eyes
A bright smile on your face
And a glow in your soul.
I was standing there awaiting the warmth of your embrace and the moisture of you smooth lips caressing my face....

But............
As you got closer I realized that it was not I that made you smile,
It was not I that caught your gaze,
It was not I that warmed you soul.......
My heart started to pound, and a chill past through my bones as I realized that I was not the one that was going to receive that warmth of your touch or the touch of your lips.........
I slowly turn around with a deep desire to put a face on the woman that has given you something that I will never be able to........
There she was with that same glow and a smile on her face of a woman that knows that she has won.....
Won the love, care and respect of a man like no other in this lifetime......
Was this indeed a dream or maybe an easy way out of this reality.........
