As you can see I have been quite blessed to have these wonderful, beautiful and good kids in my life. They are the products of 2 of my bestfriends, Sheress and Damione. We have all been friends since we were much, much, much younger...lol.

I can honestly say that these kids have and always will be a great impact on my life. It is amazing what children can teach us about the world in a simple way as well as ourselves. They all hold a very significant part of my heart and for different reasons.

Let's start with the Oldest and work our way down, I was 16 when we first met and she was to young to even see right..lol.

She was the cutest, chunkiest and sweetest thing that I had ever seen. We started our bonding immediately. I feel like we grew up together. I would take her everywhere with me and could not get enough of her. She really showed me what unconditional love was all about, it was the first time that I had ever experienced that type of love. I hadnever imagined that one can feel that way for a child that isn't yours but to me there was no difference. I will give my life for her....happily.

My favorite memory: taking her to buy a cake for her mom, my bff, for her birthday. We were coming up in the elevator and she was about 2 yrs old. I told her that she had to be very quiet so that we could surprise her mom, she was so excited and felt like a big girl, she held her mouth closed with her hand all the way to the door..lol....so cute.

Then came my little spitfire.... : ). She came in and stirred things up. You see where her sister was quiet and pretty low key, she was not having non of that..lol. She came at a time when I was trying to start a home and family of my own. She was inspiring. I got to spend alot more time with her than her older sister as an infant b\c I lived on my own by the time she came around. She tought me unconditional love with sacrifice. She was a difficult eater and she was sick alot. I remember us sleeping together and I would keep one eye open to make sure she was alright. She was the only one that would make a sound and I would jump out of bed for. Her energy and kindness was always a joy to have around and still is. Her spirit is grand and full of love. Her depth amazes me even when she doesn't notice.

My favorite memory: I was walking over to the building where they lived and she was on the front steps playing with her sister. I just remember the look on her face when she saw me... she lit up and came wobbling\running screaming " titi nikki, titi nikki", what a wonderfully warm feeling that was.

Well, what can I say, when my cookie came along she stole the show. She had perfect timing. Just when the girls were getting older and they were starting doing they're own thing, here she comes turning my world upside down before she even came out of the belly. You see when my bff was prego with her the elevator in the bldg where they lived broke. I then kicked into super titi and did what I had to do to make sure they were both safe. When she was born from the begining I just wanted to protect her. When my friend got sick I then gladly kicked into super titi again to make sure to take care of the both of them to the best of my ability. Everyone was so quick to thank me for my help but really I was just thankful that I could and it made me feel like a better person for it. So I thank them for trusting me with such an important job. My relationship with my cookie has taught me love with a bit ofOn that note I must say that my cookie is the sweetest, kindest and most wonderfully sensative child I know and continues to be so. She is so intellegant and has an everlasting inocence that is refreshing.

My favorite memory: It was her birthday party.....she had a room full of family friends, she and her friends were in the middle of an activity when she turned and saw me walk in the place.... She immediatly came over and hugged me and told me "titi nikki I love you". She made me feel so special, like it didn't matter to her who was there it wasn't a party till her titi nikki got there...lol

Last but far from least.....THE MAN of the house. The only boy, my name sake. I was concerned about my relationship with him, that I would even cry about it. They're family had moved away by the time he was born and I was so used to being there for every part of my friends pregnancies that I felt left out. But to my surprise mr. deep voice himself knows me just fine. I guess he really picks up alot from the girls and I am sure he feels the love. With all the woman in his life he is going to be a fabulous man one day. I can say that he has tought me that you don't have to be always around to love someone or to feel the love.

My favorite memory: I remember when Nicky got a little bigger and I used to come over, he did not know me that well so he would kinda give me the look like 'what are you doing here?'. (lol) It was really the funniest thing. Then one day I came over and started to play with him and he warmed up quickly....low and behold that is all it took because the following time after that when I came by he then gave me a hug. Priceless.........from then I knew that it didn't matter that I wasn't always around I was always going to be his titi nikki.

It's me Maria, Sheress's GWL friend. What wonderful memories and you have of each child and you put each so beautifully into words. Most people just know how they feel and can't explain it. They are all very lucky to have you in their lives.
